This is a free pattern for a quick and easy small Easter basket (13 x 14 cm)The pattern is written in UK terminology
The basket is worked in the round with a slip stitch connecting each round
The chain and slip stitches don't count as stitches throughout the pattern, so do not work into them
I suggest using a stitch marker in the slip stitch to keep track of your rounds

1 skein of Hoooked Ribbon XL Solids in White and Iced Apricot or other super chunky yarn/ribbon/T-shirt yarn (finished size may vary)

DO NOT FASTEN OFF
ATTACHING THE EARS
With the basket still on your hook, *1 dc in the bottom loop of the 1st tr on the pink part (right side facing), 27 dc in the bottoms of the trebles, 3 dc in the 2 ch gap at the top, 28 dc in the tops of the tr, skip 2 dc on the basket (note: dc with ss in it counts as 1 st), 1 dc in the next dc to attach the ear, 9 dc*, repeat * to * for the other ear, ss into 1st dc
Fasten off
Sew up the gap under your pink ear parts. I sewed the long pink end into the 2 unworked dc's on the basket.
Tie the two ears together to form a bow and sew in the remaining ends
Sew on eyes, nose, mouth, whiskers... or leave plain, and attach a pompom to the back for a tail.
This part is really up to you.
